Hidden in the hills of the northern suburbs of Lhasa is Pabongka Monastery — it’s actually older than the famous Potala Palace! Every year from late March to early April, this hillside monastery is completely surrounded by blooming peach trees. The soft pink and white flowers pop against the monastery’s deep red walls, and it’s no wonder locals and travelers alike rush here to snap photos of this stunning scenery.
